LaQuinta Kelly was born in Akron Ohio, I graduated from John R. Buchtel, and graduated from Wooster Business College as a Medical Assistant. I worked at the United States Postal Office, working my way up from casual to a transitional employee. The money was good, but I had two small children that needed me to be flexible. I left there and worked for National City Bank. I came to Georgia for a visit and never looked back. In 2009, I met and married to a Wonderful Gift From God, Sam Kelly we have six children. I graduated from Akron Barber College, moved to Georgia in 1998. I attended Roffler Hair Styling College in MariettaGa, and graduated as a Master Barber Educator. I returned to Roffler, and worked as an Educator for one year. I worked at Clippers Of Douglasville and quickly became the manager. In 2000 I bought Clippers Of Douglasvile (which was the first black barber shop in Douglasvile )I have contributed to the Douglasvile Annual back to school festival, free hair cuts, barber &beauty supplies, over 1500 back packs full of school supplies. I have sponsored several local schools with free hair cuts, Winston Elementary,Douglas Co. High School, Burnett school, 1 Stewart Middle School, and more. I have sponsored over 20 Douglasvile Police officers with safety locks for their service weapons, yearly donations to the Douglas co. Fraternal Order Of Police I have worked with every women's sheltor in douglasville , Hope House, and donated clothing and gave free services to women seeking employment. I have helped several local barbers obtain their barber license by Apprenticeship under my master license. Who have since become successful business owners. I still own Clippers Of Douglasville, I opened Look Twyce Barber & Beauty Studio in 2014I discovered my gift by accident, when my mother was straightening my hair and dropped the straightening comb on my neck. I became so upset, I refused to let her do anything to my hair. I would go to the barber shop with my dad, and seen a female barber cutting hair and I admired her style. I was given a pair of Clippers for my birthday, I would cut designs in my hair and everyone else wanted me to do theirs, the rest is history. I love what I do. People come in and are comfortable, they trust me with their secrets, respect and ask my advice, and come back and thank me. I tell them it's not me, it's God, he gave me the words to direct, heal, and comfort. I have clients who have become good friends for over a decade. GOD HAS GIVEN ME MY GIFT AND I OPERATE IN IT.
